A Prayer Inspired by Psalm 123

Heavenly Father…

I lift my eyes to You.

Above my problems… above my fears… above everything I cannot control.

My eyes are fixed on You, Lord.

Just as a servant looks to the hand of his master… I look to You for guidance, mercy, and strength.

Father, have mercy on me.

You know the battles I am facing. You know the prayers I have whispered when no one else was listening. You know every burden hidden inside my heart.

When I feel overwhelmed… help me look up.

When people disappoint me… help me look to You.

When I don’t understand what is happening… teach me to trust Your hands.

Lord, I need Your mercy today.

Give me peace when my heart is troubled. Give me strength when I feel weak. Give me faith when I cannot see what comes next.

I will keep my eyes on You.

Because my help does not come from this world.

My hope is in You.

My confidence is in You.

And my life belongs to You.

Have mercy on me, Lord… and lead me according to Your perfect will.
